I got a rare breed mix from Meyer Hatcheries in April. I do believe this is a Lavender Orpington but not the hen it was supposed to be. What do you think? If it is a rooster, then what? I live in a suburban neighborhood & roosters are not allowed.

Ugh. I thought so for a while; pushy & controlling; nothing like my Buff Orpington was. so hard to rehome, but hoping because of breed it will be easier. I just don't want him to wind up on somebody's plate.

Lavender are a more unusual and seemingly desired color. Hopefully you won't have any trouble finding him a new home.
