I’m new to chickens, can you please tell me how you figured it out? I love learning new things

Looks like a Cockerel to me, the crest shape as well as it looks like saddle feathers coming in ;'(

Yes, by the crest shape and body shape and the way the rest of the feathers are growing just don’t have a pullet-like look. I’ve only ever raised one Polish chick (free mystery chick from Murray MacMurray) and it was a boy. Boy Polish get wild and spikey crests, and girl Polish get even round crests.

I do think all that black on his crest and going so far down his neck is really cool looking! If you get to have a rooster around, what an awesome looking one!

Aaawww thank you!! We now have six roosters out of our 16 chickens. But we live in the country so we should be able to keep them... but then I would need more hens. Hhhmmm
