I know they’re still a little too young to be 100% certain (3.5 weeks) but I’m thinking this one may be a roo. S/he has a larger & rosier comb than the other 3 & I believe I see wattles trying to come in.

I bought them as Ameraucana pullets which clearly the breed was wrong 😑 so now I’m questioning gender for this one too. Any advice, help, references would be much appreciated.

TIA!

It's a pullet.

Are the pictures of one chick or several? Too young to be sure, but with the size of the comb & wattles coming in, thinking cockerel. The comb is a single, Ameraucana's have a pea comb.

It’s the same chick just different angles. I realized a couple weeks ago they weren’t Ameraucana, at the time I let the excitement take over & didn’t really inspect them. Since this one is the smallest but has the biggest comb & it’s rosier than the others I have my suspicions that my “pullet” may have been mislabeled as well

Love the lavender colored breeds ... Lavender Orpingtons my favorite :love Thought that's what they were but their shape and feathering don't fit. If they had feathered I'd guess Maran but no feathers on the feet/legs ... pretty anyway

Thank you 😊 their coloring was originally what made me believe the Ameraucana sign 😂 now I’m trying to figure out what they are 😂 possibly Sapphire Gems from what another member said. This was the day we got them
