Hi fellow chicken people! I have a 7/8 week old Rhode Island Red chick who I am beginning to think is fooling us all! I believe that she may be a he! She has already grown a rather large comb and wattle. All my other girls barely have theirs (they are other breeds). What do you all think? And at what point will I know for sure? Thanks!

I think you are right.

I had 2 RIR, one turned out to be a Rooster. Looked a lot like this guy.

Well, I know for sure at this point

that much comb at that age is all boy, sorry. As he grows you'll see thicker legs, darker shading on the wing, that comb will keep growing, and he'll grow long pretty hackle and saddle feathers. Oh, and of course, the crowing!
