Does anyone have any experience with using corrugated plastic roof panels. I am thinking about using this on the main coop roof (8'x12') coop with a 4/12 gable roof.

Yes I used them on the roof of my most recent coop and the wind tore it apart in places. So I would say make sure you don't get strong winds. I would use metal if I could do it again. I had to patch mine up with a metal sheet.

Some people put curtains across the front of the nest boxes. I use covered kitty litter pans with sand inside.

Quote: OK sounds like you are covered pretty well there. The only other reason I can think of to avoid too much sunlight is if it will get a greenhouse effect.
