Roofing question

I'd suggest using some of that 20-yr composite caulk. Silicone will work too but not last as long; that black rubberized roofing cement stuff is EVIL to work with, plus which it gets crumbly and leaky after a coupla years.

You wanna make it look nice from the outside, apply a blob of caulk from the INSIDE, making sure it squooges out the hole, then go up on your ladder and press it down and spread it out, just a little bit. Leave it a little 'proud' of the surface.

Go to your local marine/boat repair place and askfor a tube of 3M 5200. Guarantee it will be the end of your problems. Expensive ($9.00/tube) but never lets go.

What isn't sticky is gritty. Seems to be a winning formula. Amazing what a bunch of good chemists can come up with!
