rookie question about Bantam Black Cochins

I am new to the cochin thing. I have had egg layers years ago. remember them well.

but have never had the bantams , do they prefer to live as couples, or can you have a roo with several hens. and do any of you let them in with your egg layers to hang out. a cochin bantam roo couldn't get with a egg laying hen, could he? TOLD YOU IT WAS A ROOKIE QUESTION, haha

ive had bantam cochins in pairs and small groups (1 roo to 3 hens) and they seem fine either way, the only thing with the pair i have is the rooster pulls out all her head feathers from treading her, since shes his only lady.

im not sure if a bantam cochin would/could tread a larger hen, i had a bantam polish succesfully tread a large egg laying hen before (cute resulting chick as proof!)
