We had 2 Cochin bantams earlier this year who around 4 weeks old had significant combs that were already coloring red. We had another 2 hatch about 4 weeks later and they only started getting bigger combs and more color in there around 7 weeks old. Since at 4 weeks they had nothing, I had good hopes that it meant these might actually be hens. (I mean 4 out of 4 roos, come on!!)
In these pictures they're 9.5 weeks old and slowly my hope of bantam Cochins in my yard is fading (we can't keep the roos, have a good place to re-home them, but can't keep them)
What do you think, is there anyone who thinks I have ANY chance at all.of raising a Cochin bantam in my backyard??
