Sunny-Side-Up: I can't tell you how much your idea of meeting you in your backyard in West Palm Beach appeals to me!!!!! This Pittsburgh weather is RIDICULOUS, it SNOWED last week!!! Oh, and the ONE leghorn that I was still holding out hope for being a pullet just looked me square in the eye & CROWED. *^%#@@*$!!!!!

Will check out the "where are you?" and call local feed stores... I actually live in the SUBURBS, tho, so my options around here are a bit limited. I am the crazy "chicken girl" in the neighborhood AND in the family

Have you considered trying to find an adventurous friend to be that is also raising a "pet" rooster or two, and trade birds with them???

my kids got upset until they realized the fun things they could do..like play with the heads or take a chicken foot and scare all their friends with it and pull on the tendons and stuff. my son still has his "lucky chicken foot" in the freezer from months ago.

*heres hoping my kids arent the only ones who do that!*
