LoL, y'all motivated me to step up my Christmas decorations this year. No, not ceiling decorations, I'm not that motivated 😁 but gonna at least replace my scruffy battered faux tree and garland. Maybe even some icicle lights for the porch! 🤩

So some online shopping, need to finish potting the stocks, oh and a bit of nest stalking...

Ours got done in phases so the girls got kinda use to that building they could wander into, we put the door in early for that reason, chickens are nosy LoL.
Once the roosts and couple windows were in, Mama Roo (me!) just had to convince Princess, lead hen, that it was a fine spot to sleep. Wasn't too hard since they were pretty cramped in the old coop and she hates anyone being near her LoL.
Most followed her lead and the two holdouts I just carried in after closing the door. After a couple of nights everyone is going in like it's always been that way...

yea we got the main door open now too, lol its gonna be fun bc once everything is in like a want i have some solar lights from their run im gonna put in there so they have a tiny bit of light in the darkness

This makes day! Christmas cheer is always a great thing!! Nest stalking, lol!
 
Today I'll be going over to my friend's house to meet her new goose. She happens to live next door, so quick trip, lol. I'm also going to take a look at her 3 silkie roos. I think I'm going to bring one home for my Pippin so she isn't a lone silkie in the coop. Her boys are a few months older than Pippin, so if I decide to take one, she's going to keep him at her house for me until Pippin grows up some more. They're ready for lady friends, lol, and Pippin is only 15 weeks old so not there yet. I also want that extra time to make sure Pippin doesn't start to crow. She is a silkie, after all. 🙃

I'll definitely take a picture of whichever one I get. I know hers are 3 different colors, and none are black. So I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I haven't been over there in about a month, and I didn't really pay them much attention last time because it was a very quick visit.
