Roo's nails

I was wondering, can you file down, clip or get some kind of gloves for the Roo's claws. I know you can get saddles for the hen, but I was wondering about the Roo's claws, my girls backs are getting torn up and since I only have 1 Roo it would be easier to deal with him, if I could.

Sure you can clip them the way you would a dog's nails.

Yep, get a dog-nail-clipper and get someone to hold him if you find him difficult. We do this with our guys around 2 or 3 times a year and yes, they do bleed ALOT if you cut too short. Just let them go and scratch around for a few minutes until it stops.
