I have been posting for a long time, now to make sure my chicks are now quite large and may be easier for someone to identify...I want to sell the Roos, and not feed them through our cold winter...I have 9, I have pics of a few and should be able to make certain with only the few pics I post...HELP! I know they are Barred Rock and Australorp...what sex?

Both of the Barred Rocks are roos. Lighter coloring, and I see saddle feathers on pic 1. Can't say for sure on the Aussie. Could you maybe get a better profile shot? Also, how old are they?

Hi neighbor. The BRs are both roos but that black one (BA?) has a shadow over it's saddle... so can't get a good glimpse of those feathers. Need a better pic on that one.

Both Rocks are cockerels, the Australorp has too small and dark of a comb to be a cockerel, and the tail is a typical young pullet tail.

Here are some updated shots of a few of the chickens, I think everyone is right, out of 9 I have 7 roos....drat!

all 4 BR look like this one, I suspect Roos...

Now with the updated pic, the Australorp looks like a roo too....Or is that a different bird from the one in the first pic?
