Roo's Spurs Are Thin on Ends?

Anyone know why that is? He's maybe 3 years old? Got him from someone else who didn't know for sure. Anyway, just wondered why the thinning is happening? I searched the forums but didn't find anything
 
That's normal. As they age the spurs get sharper and to a point.

They look like he stuck them in a bad pencil sharpener though, they used to be smooth to a point but now they're still as thick at the base but are way thinner. Is that still okay? I tried to take a pic but can't get one where you can see it very well :/
 
Be very careful when feeding chickens rooster in there too. My wife an RN had been feeding bread to these chickens for about 5 months and one day she was all most finished one of the roosters jumped up and spurred her on leg. Took her to ER and all the Doctors wanted to come see but they did take care of her. 5 switches and 4 staples just to close her wound and they did cut off a 1/4 piece hanging. So no matter how friendly roosters are do not trust them
Cut spurs off at least 1/2 way
