roos that are lousy at breeding

wow.. never thought about roosters having problems before...
i have 2 bantie roosters (OEG & millieflur) that breed my standard size hens.. without any problems.. got babies to prove it too..

he is awesomew looking.. i would wait and let him figure it out..

I've had roos who I've never seen mate with a hen. Like never, not even look at a hen... but when placed in the breeder tractor, have gotten 100% fertility. Being it's fall, and he's new, I'd give him till mid spring to prove himself. After that, it's freezer camp.

He was awesome from the first hour. He hatched from a GREAT BIG, DARK brown egg. I lost the original of this photo, but here is a thumbnail of it. He is about 45 minutes old here, and that thing next to him is a quarter. He hatched strongly and quickly, dried off, poofed up, strutted around and headed over to the feed pile and started pecking. He is everything I want and need in a roo, now that he is treading normally. He is very polite in the pen, never gives me a sideways look, gets along with the other roo I put him in with, knocked the stuffing out of an over confident cuckoo marans without putting a mark on him, put him in his place. He has a LOT going for him and I was just desparing that he would never breed. Anyhow, here is his pic comparing him at 45 minutes old to a quarter.
