I have 2 roos and 15 hens. The roos get along well and are really great roos. BUT I have found 3 eggs with baby chicks about the size of a grain of rice in them. And we are VERY dillagent about collecting their eggs. I'm already a vegetarian and this really grosses me out. We also sale/trade their eggs. So I've decided to rehome my wonderful roos.
Now, I read hens can store sperm.
So my question is... how long does it take for the hens to get it all out of their system (so to speak) after the roos are removed?
