Roost bars and poop boards

I would like to see your roost bar’s and poop board setups. I am in the middle of a build and would like some different ideas to figure out how I want to incorporate my roost bars and poop boards. Thank You for your time and help.

I do! I have only a few birds, here is the roost and poop tray with the pooper scooper hanging nearby:

Poop tray has a mixture of mostly sand and a bit of horse stall sweet PDZ to keep down the odor

More so that the garden isn't all the way in yet, the lawn needed mowing, the new trees needed deer fence around them, the truck needs the sap washed off, ...

You didn't give even 8 hours for the people on the other side of the world or who work nights to wake up.

I check parts of the site pretty frequently and saw your first post five minutes before you added the second. It was already too dark here to take a good picture so I had started to look through my old pictures. It is not an obscure issue.

A good night's sleep helps my attitude, so, if you still want an example of a roost and poop board...

Here is my setup The roost bars are in 3 sections and sit on top of the poop board for easy removal and cleaning. The nest boxes sit under the poop board on the right and if we ever get someone to go broody, we will set her up under the poop board on the left.

I bought my coop from an Amish man who built coops and the design was already created. I added a large dog cage tray under the roosting bars to collect the majority of the poo. The tray fits the area perfectly so it works for me. I also use the deep litter method - adding PDZ and diatomaceous earth as supplements to the coop to control parasites and ammonia buildup. The only area poo accumulates - other than the bottom tray is a small amount along the edge of the wall at the top of roosting bars from the chickens on the top rung of the bar. I clean this area weekly scraping the poo down onto the tray below.

I use dresser drawers for collecting dropings.
