Roost length?

I have six chicks (one is a bantam). We are building a 4x8 shed. Is 4 feet long enough for a roost for that amount of chickens? We are doing a poop board so trying to maximize space. Thinking of doing the roost at one one end of shed.

If your going run them across the 4 ft length then they will be cramped. Put in 2. Stagger the height.

What is a poop board? Do you have large pictures you could post of the roost and the poop board? We are converting the childrens playhouse into a coop right now and have no clue about what to do for the roost.

I have 6 RIR's and 3 araucana's. I put 3 roosts in my coop (each one is three feet long) and all nine of them cram themselves onto one, every night, without fail.
