Roost too close to nest?

I believe I messed up. My roost is about 3-4 inches in front of the nesting boxes.Its a 2*4 that is as long as the row of nest's. Will this become a poo problem. As in will they poo on the nest because its too close? I actually seen this design on a site and thought I would try it. My girls come home tomorrow and I am wondering if I should move the roost?

I would increase the size of the net box top so that you have a poop shelf.

They might need a bar(roost) in front of the nests to get to them depending on how high off the ground they are.

Night time roost (about 10-12 inches long per bird) needs to be higher than the nests or they will roost in nests and poop in them.

My roost is about 18 inches from where my nest boxes will be. They are out right now until they are ready to lay eggs. So use this time to improve the coup.

I have been doing that to my coup for the last 2 weeks since I got the chickens.

Move it or add onother one. A roost-type thing in front of the nesting boxes is good - we have one and they jump to it from the floor to get to the nesting boxes, or walk back and forth on it. But if they sleep on it they always have their head out which means the back end is in. If they have another roost slightly higher they will usually use that one, as soon as they are big enough.
