How high do you have your pole off the ground. I am new and any info will help. I have 6 ft ceilings.

Place it at 3 feet and see how easily your chickens get on it. Also suggest that a 2 x 4 placed flat side is an ideal roost. If you use natural branches, try to get descent size diameter.
