Roost

Why is it important for the chickens to Roost? I have some cochins that do not like to use their roost. do Cochins Roost anyway? how about their nest hight as you all know Cochins are too havy and can't jump.

you can build a simple ladder to the nests ... a piece of plywood with a few 1x2's nailed to it
