Roost

I just put a roost in for my 3 months old hens. It is about 3 feet off the ground. Can they jump up on it themselves or do I need a ladder? Thanks.

yes they should be able to, but it depends on the breed. like my brown leghorns will roost in low tree branches. what are you using for a roost?

They should be able to get up there when they are ready. You might want to put it at about 2 feet until they roost constantly then raise it.
