My rooster’s spur suddenly broke when he fell down. He’s acting normally and there seems to be no bleeding, but im not sure if i should just leave it be or do something about it
He looks completely unscathed by the event. My rooster did the same thing two times. There's nothing you need to do. Other than to consider trimming the remaining spur.
My Cochin Bantam rooster -- who may be the world's meanest little bird -- broke one of his spurs last year. It was dangling off his foot, and I just used dog nail clippers to finish removing it.
Although I was at first upset that he might be seriously affected, no blood, neither his nor mine, was involved and he was and still is fine.
