Is it true that when a chick is a rooster, the more it gets use to you, the more aggressive it will become when its older? I heard this somewhere, I don't remember where, but I did, and I didn't know if it was true.

My RIR rooster (witch are supost to be aggresivee) wouldn't hurt a fly my 18 month old cuzin can walk right up to him and touch his face and comb and beak and he just stands there and lets him. He was held ALL the time when he was a chick!! there were totally of 8 in the clutch i got 4 and my friend got the other four there was only one hen witch i got. My friend who got the other 4 never handled her when they were young and the all ended up being very very VERY aggressive to people. So she killed and eat them

and the other 2 rooster that i got with him were the same way, just as nice as he was. they were handled all the time to.

Yea, i thought that it would make sense if you handled them a lot when they were chicks, they would not be aggressive because they would be use to you, and they would respect you, sense you feed them, and care fore them.

All my birds get frequent, gentle handling from the get-go & are tame as can be. Except Keeble the nutjob. But she's a 236, so go figure...
