Rooster, am I right? Or...

Chicks can be so difficult to tell the sex unless a Sexlink cross-breed. So here I go again, pullet or cockerel? I'm leaning towards a cockerel due to already having a bright red comb. Bought on 6/20/18, about 10 days old then. So he/she is about 8-9 weeks now.

In a way, I hope it's a he. I just lost my only Barred Rock rooster suddenly 2 days ago.

Well, that gives me 9 boys. What ever hatchery Rural King uses, seems they throw in quite a few cockerels in the shippment.

My husband can tell by looking in their face... he’s NEVER wrong. I like to look at the tail... cockerels usually hold their tails down. My chickens are very broody and I get a lot of roosters. He has a pointed face, bright red comb and he’s holding his tail down and pointed. Boy
