Rooster ate silicone.

Hi,

Just a quick question. My rooster was out free ranging. I walked away from him for a minute and when I returned he has a strip of silicone (like the stuff between gaps to seal it) its was about 2 inches. I tried to get it from him but he gobbled it before I could. Is this a cause for concern? Or will it pass without a problem.

I've had to take this from them before. I dont know where they keep finding it.

I think he should be fine. Just keep a close eye on him and check his poop to see if he passes it. If you notice him showing any kind of pain or discomfort, I would go to the vet.

How big? Most of the time, it’ll pass without an issue. I’d separate and watch his poops for it so you know it’s passed and not blocking anything in his digestive tract.

Ok thanks. I wasnt sure if it would break down or stay one piece. I'll look for it. It was about 2 inches long I think. And maybe a 1/4 inch thick but it's a guess since i was looking at it as he was escaping from me. I really hope her poops it out ok.
