rooster attacked by visiting dog need urgent help

The other problem I have is my chickens do not like being confined to the coop, run or fenced yard, and if allowed out of the run, or they will fly out, fly out my fenced yard an go foraging in my organic garden which sits between my house and the shop but across the driveway and next to the fenced 1 acre pasture, as that is the only place the landlords would let us sight the garden, because of water access and being on a well, even though we are working on purchasing 100 ft of fencing and a gate or two to fence in the garden area, the field has an access gate open on the neighbors property, sometimes they leave it closed but most of the time its open so their chickens can free range in the field, an even bigger issue is the property line runs 1/2 directly down the center of the fenced pasture and because they are no longer renting and they bought the place so they own 1/2 the field, so technically only 1/2 of the 1 acre fenced pasture is ours to use, but they don't use the other half, except keep the gate open for their chickens to forage in it, that neighbor doesn't want to pay to fence the pasture in half, the landlord doesn't and we can't afford 1 acre of fencing. They also don't want to allow us to use the entire pasture because they own half of it. So we leave our gate open so our chickens have a safe place to forage where they cant get too much trouble because there also is a driveway that connects the neighbors property to the shop, behind the fenced pasture and this is referred to as the "chicken highway" where our chickens visit the neighbors across the pasture and vise versa but there is a large two stall animal shelter in the pasture that the chickens use for protection while in the field which is on our side of the pasture and we keep a dog house with straw next to the gate and the greenhouse and the garden for the chickens to use for safety. There is no gate that seperates the shop from my property, just a partial fence with a driveway but there is a gate but the shop and the neighbor in the back and I don't know if he bought the gate and put it on or if it was existing but we know our landlords are not willing to foot the bill on purchasing a gate and even if we purchased one the neighbor in the back would complain because him and his girlfriend would have to open 3 gates to get home. That's why they leave their gate open, so they don't have to get out to get another gate open. So I'm not sure if the landlords would allow us to install a 3rd gate, but I think it would contain the bigger dogs from the neighbor in the back and make my chickens not want to back there where they are not suppose to go. It might not stop a little dog visiting the shop, but at least I wouldnt have to worry about my chickens going back there while free ranging.

I had something (which I think was a neighborhood dog) come into my yard and attack my free range flock. I came home after a very quick run out to find 2 dead chickens (not mauled) and 3 others missing. My poor bantam roo squawked and ran the yard for hours trying to find his hens. I felt sooo sorry for him! I am scared to let them free range now.

He recovered and went out today all day but the boss rooster attacked his comb and made him bleed so i caged him up again and brought him back inside :( hoping they will accept him back to the flock, it took me days or round the clock feeding, and supplemented water, towel washings, cage cleanings etc to get him better

Poor thing!!! Hasn't he suffered enough, 'Boss Roo?'
I found my ugliest, scrawniest bantam rooster hiding across the road in the underbrush. He was already so ugly he was cute ---now he has a red, naked behind!! I'm giving him extra TLC and a heatlamp at night. Pitiful looking!
