Rooster attacking chicks

Sorry I was not clearer when I initially posted. The chicks were raised by one of his hens in the flock so he has seen them from Day 1. Anyway, thank you everybody for your advice. Best wishes for Christmas!

Cock may simply be trying to give offspring the boot from harem. Mine do so when offspring are 20+ weeks. If birds confined, such behaviour can lead to complications. Risk to juveniles can be reduced by making the confinement area more complex where juveniles can avoid being in sight of and in physical contact with clock.
