Rooster attacking hen.

Hi, so i have a rooster along with my 13 hens that he gets along with exept one of them, a skittish wellsummer. He always chases her and even attacks her slightly and she's just really scared of him any thoughts on why?

Are you sure he’s not trying to mate with her? When chickens mate the rooster will climb onto the hen’s back, which may seem like an attack. (And if the hen doesn’t want to mate, she’ll run away from him) I would suggest leaving them, but if there is any blood separate the hen from the flock.

No I'm sure he's not trying to mate with her because she makes a alarming squad sound when he tries to attack her the other hens don't do that.

Yes, he tries to scare her away.

She's 8 months old and the rooster is about a year and a half.

How long has he been attacking her? If it’s relatively new it might just stop soon
