Rooster attacking one hen, ripped off comb

I've had both hens and roosters attack the large combs on some hens. One hen in particular, a SLW, had an extremely elongated comb similar to a rooster's. Until I partially dubbed her, it was being ripped almost all the way off her head by other hens. Since then, her comb and wattles have continued to grow into very male-appearing secondary sex characteristics. One of my roos has attacked what remains of her comb, and I don't let him anywhere near her now.

From my observations, those hens with larger than normal secondary sex features suffer more from both hens and roos. I can only conclude that they're being singled out for looking different.

I have to be careful as to how to word this so as not to offend the little ones. But if that was my rooster that did harm to my hen, I would fetch me a large pot of boiling water, my work table and knife, and rooster would never mount a hen again. About fifteen minutes is all it would take.

Hi all, I have had 13 hens 10 naked necks and 3 Ameracauna since day old last Feb and we have a 10 mo old turken roo who is Big about 10-12 lbs he used to attack my girl friend and our grandchildren at times me until I attacked him back but I had to watch my back arround him then at christmas I got a Auracana Roo about 7 mo lod and after about a 5 day seperation I introduced the flock to him, He is all white mind U and the cock fight began only ths Big turkin after her got hammered ran, and the Auracana chased him peckin at him for almost an hour till I grabbed him and put em in the pen. day 2 same thing, now they are still apart. Bottom line since then Mr turken has been a real gentalman and we can all go in and out of the coop or pen and he won't even give us a 2nd glance So get another roo and see if it helps

We have a neighbors game rooster that has been hanging out with my flock. I had obtained 10 more hens last week. Among the 1 barred Rock hen. Tonight I caught him trying to kill her. He destroyed most of her comb, and kept pecking her head hard. He would of had killed her I not driven him off. I have had a Dominique that looks just like her. I bet she wasn't letting him mate with her. Mean buzzard. I had to kill two Leghorn roosters years ago when they got too aggressive with the children.

First bead I can draw on him, he'll be dirt fertilizer.
