rooster attacks me for no reason

One thing I have found works good but works best if started quite young. go after him and catch him, carry him around... hang him upside down for a minute or two... walk around some more... and repeat. When you are done with him, put him on the ground and hold him there until he isn't struggling to get free, then slowly let go of him.

Do this as often as you are out with them for awhile since he already has an attitude. I do this even if a roo isn't giving me enough personal space... 3-5ft. Do not kick him. The message is you are in charge of his world. You are not a sparing partner...just powerful. My roos just know that they want to give me plenty of space from the time they are babies.

the only roo that i got as a baby is my game roo. he's feisty but not mean. i'll have to try that with my dominique.. he needs an attitude adjustment

i did that to number 3 rooster on the pecking order...mainly to look at his toe i had to chop off to make sure it was still ok... number 1 and 2 and even number 4 know that i am the supreme being when i walk in the run.... number 3 (we call him 2 toes) insists on attacking me or challenging me... i never let him win..i actually chase him around and sometimes number 1 will help me! i use my fingers and "peck" on the head when he gets frisky and he still insists...driving me nuts!!!

Nip it in the bud or the behavior will probably escalate. He's just a rooster trying to control his world. He needs a little attitude adjustment. At Hagan has the right idea swat him gently but firmly with the brushy end of a broom. Don't let him win continue until he runs away. Stalk him until he runs at the sight of you.
