Rooster balance issues/injured leg maybe? Please help ASAP!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry you and your baby are both going through this! I don't know anything about this disease, but from what I've read in these forums it sounds bad :( I'll say a little prayer tonight for your Roo!

thank you :-( we ended up putting him to sleep on april 16th. i've been really heartbroken about his loss. he wasn't getting any better and losing a lot of weight though. i couldn't let him suffer.

i'll miss my boy ,,,

here's pics of him with me growing up,,

this was at the vet right before puttin him to sleep (you can tell i was crying sigh),, he went very peacefully but the vets were absolutely terrible people

now i'm having troubles with another roo, not the same symptoms though. he's another silkie and used to be in a flock with one other roo (his dad) and two hens (his mom and surrogate mom) ,,, so i figured puttin him with albedo's old flock would be better for him,,,

well bad idea,,, i think he got brain brain damage because despite my care watching him and carefully introducing and never leaving them alone, i'm pretty sure my meanest red sex link, who i think was literally out to kill him, caused him brain damage,,,

now he's penned off on the silkie flock side (we have two flocks in one coop with half a wall separating them) because the roos were fighting (of course) and last night he had mild crook neck (normal now?) but now he has these erratic head movements. he's walking fine except for when he's doing the erratic head movements and crook neck thing. gonna start him on poly vi sol tonight,,,

wish me luck, the problems on my end are never ending

I am very sorry to hear of your boy's passing. :( It seems it's always the good ones.

I hope your other Silkie roo is able to make a full recovery. ♡

thank you for your condolences, it means a lot <3 he was my boy and i would have not minded taking care of him for longer than i did, but i could tell he would not get better so :-(

but actually- he was honestly actually a huge jerk... LOL!
he attacked my mom and me (even when i was taking care of him) and he often caused me to bleed,,
and actually, right before he loss the use of his legs he did this to my face:

BUT! i was the only one who saw the other side of him,,,

he was my baby no matter what a jerk he could be!! (i kind of hope the scar from what he did to my face stays as a memory but it wasn't super deep so it probably won't)

and i feel the same about cypress thoug, the one who possibly has some neurological issues now.. he's not a nice rooster at all (honestly he is worse than albedo ever was!! i have a terrible bruise on my hand from him right now) but sometimes i'm reminded of what a sweet lil chick he was (the only chicken we've ever hatched).

either way, i'm doing my best to bring him back up to par. he acts normally most of the time and sometimes he starts movin his head up and down in a strange way, and he had the crook neck. so he's getting vitamins, electrolytes, and scrambled eggs (for the selenium) now.

cypress's dad though- he is the loveliest and nicest roo ever (though he doesn't like men it seems LOL!)

thank you so much!!

,,sorry i ended up babbling a bunch,, i love my chickens!!
