Rooster bald butt

Hi all! I’m still a chicken newb. My Rooster has a bald butt. Not red, no signs of mites, no leaky poo mess… just bald. Could it just be molting?

He most likely is molting .

Update, he’s got some new feathers coming back this evening. So, I’m guessing molting.
