What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) guessing he is about 3 years old and seems to have lost weight
2) What is the behavior, exactly. ~~ his personality seems just the same
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?~~ symptoms have been going on since about December
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?~~ no
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.~~ only sign of trauma I THINK is that his tail feathers are not very upright like they used to be and his comb is very droopy, waddles are always dripping wet. Was infested with mites and lice.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.~~ unknown
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.~~ regular Purina food, treats and water with added vitamins or electrolytes
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.~~ unsure
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?~~ gave him an epsom salt bath and have sprayed him with mite/lice chicken spray
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?~~ I’d personally like to get him back health at home
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. One picture is in October and the other where he is sick was taken in December
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use~~ was using hay and now have switched out to shavings from tractor supply

There should be pictures in the original post, brand is Purina layer feed, I don’t think he’s molting, he’s been battling mites and I spray him down, not really sure how else to help him. I used Poultry Protector. I also have PSP but I haven’t used it yet. Not sure if it will help. This picture was taken January 9th with an epsom salt bath

Poultry protector isn't really the best treatment. If you have elector PSP, then I would go ahead and use that. The lice and mites can really take them down, make them anemic, really weaken them. You also need to clean out and treat the coop. You can use the PSP or a permethrin spray. For the coop you may need to do several times to get any that continue to hatch. You will need to discard all bedding and nesting material and replace each time. If you spray him then make sure he's completely dry before going back out into the cold.
Did he molt this year?
His droppings look runny to me in that picture.
Is his crop working properly? It fills and empties through out the day as he eats and digests. Check it first thing in the morning before he's had any food or water, it should be empty then. If it's not empty, that can indicate a problem. Let us know what it feels like, empty, full, hard, soft & squishy, etc.
Has it been cold where you are? His comb looks a little discolored in that picture, like maybe frostbite? Do you have a current picture?

I will mix up the PSP and use that this weekend then. We did clean out the coop and used a blow torch to burn any small bugs hiding in there. Just cleaned the coop again this past weekend, thank you! I usually don't check his crop but I will in the morning to see how that is. I've held him plenty and it seems fine but I will check again. Yes it has been cold, located in south jersey so this week shouldn't be too bad for him. I do have other rooster and they are upright and noisy and mating yet my sick one doesn't do any of that. I will be able to get a current picture in the Am also.

The "wattles always being wet" concerns me a bit. Is his nose runny, or does he cough/sneeze/wheeze at all? Makes me suspect he's acquired some respiratory ailment after getting weak from the mites.

You can switch to an all flock or high protein feed, roosters shouldn't have layer feed and the extra protein will hel0 everyone
