Rooster behavior normal???

Could you divide the coop some way, so he could be kept away from them part of the time, if he gets too aggressive? Be a shame to have to get rid of him, since they are hard to come by.

Actually, my husband I could certainly build a separation for him to provide a break for the girls. Don't know why my mind didn't think of that! Probably because I've been so preoccupied with the decision of which rooster to keep.....thanks for reminding me of the separation option.
