I just got a batch of whatever they put in the box chicks. I got straight run because I intend to put some in the freezer. I also do a lot of crafts that I use feathers for and I prefer to use ones that have been preened rather than ones I retrieve when slaughtering. The rooster I have now that is grown is from the orighonal batch of chicks I got in 2009. (the only one that has never attacked me) I do not want him to have to fight any new roosters. My question is, if one of the rooster chicks that I have now has developed really cool feathers and I would like to let him live, do roosters react the same as other animals to "neutering" I think it is called capon in chicken language (I will look it up) . Anyway, will it keep them from fighting with other roosters? Thanks
