Rooster behavior

I've had over 7 roosters at the same time, though there was lots of arguing at that point. I now have 4 roosters and there is minimal fighting amongst them, though the lowest in the pecking order does get chased away from the food and water and must keep his distance from them (he's the bantam rooster). If they are raised together or if one raises the other like a son, they are more likely to get along. Also, make sure they have at least 5 hens per roosters, preferably 8-10.

Best of luck!

Yes. But make sure they have enough girls.

Around 8 to 10 hens per rooster, is a good average.

Sometimes they will get along, and other times not...depends on the individual chicken's personality. If they start fighting over hens you can pen the roosters separately if needed (together with no hens to fight over) and that may work too.

Really it is all individualized. There are vast differences in personalities even within the same breed when you consider individual roosters. Some breeds are more prone to not getting along than others.

You can also run batch pad coops, have had up to 20 Roos with 0 hens and they don't fight much, but get a hen near them and they'll tear each other to pieces for her.
