Why is my Rooster sitting in the nesting boxes?

He's showing the hens a good spot to lay generally. If no one is paying attention to them they often just sit there like goofs for a while.

It's signs of a good Rooster and if in with a Hen he is courting her..My Rooster does it too and I felt as if I walked in on a private moment......

Huh?...My Rooster is excellent with his Chicks he tidbits and has never bred a young Pullet either.....

Yes, once Momma weans her Chicks Lester watches over them and they do Roost up beside him..
