So, he might be showing them where to nest?
I thought my rooster - Roo - was a bit strange: every so often, he will tuck himself into a corner and lay down...behind a box, squeezed between a couple flower pots etc, always head first, and he sort of purrs. He'll do this for no more than a minute, then he moves on. Has anyone else seen this?
That's usually a sign you got a good rooster.Ah! I'm late to the discussion but my new roo just did exactly that! Cuddled himself in the nest box and was purring away.
