hi, i have a young rooster that is attacking his sister. he is about one month old and made his sister bleed. is there anything i can do to stop this behavior?

he is just telling her to be loyal to him. do you already have another rooster?

its what my rooster does whenever there is a new female so i don't know what else to tell ya

when she decides to be his i'm sure this won't go on long it didn't with my roo but it could just be something else entirely

I got a hen and 7 2 month old chicks, and a few have started facing off with each other, and just about anything. It gives me a good indication of which ones are cockerels I think...Then again the hens do it too....I think it is just chicken behavior. If it is causing any serious injuries then I would try to figure out something...perhaps a smaller cage within the coop that you can put a couple of the chickens in until they are better behaved, or more acclimated to each other.
