Rooster brothers fighting with each other...

I'm not going to make you happy. Games have been the breed of choice for cockfighting for a long time. Some strains of Games have been bred to kill any other rooster. It's in their genetics. Even if they are losing they just won't stop until they are dead.

Not all Games have been bred for fighting. Many small farm barnyard mix flocks that free range and forage for most of their food contain a lot of Game. They typically are great at foraging, go broody a lot, and are great mothers. Those roosters will not automatically try to kill each other though they will fight like any other rooster..

I don't know where you got the game parent of those boys, but it sounds like their genetics were bred for fighting. A bachelor pad works for many males. It probably won't for these boys. You can probably keep one if its your only male, but for the others it's separate pens or eat them. They are going to be really small but you can eat them. You can try to sell them or give them away but I wouldn't. People probably will not want them for cockfighting with that bantam in them, they are too small. Cockfighting is illegal in the USA anyway, the last state recently outlawed it. If you try to give or sell them to anyone else make sure they know that they will probably try to kill any other male.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone (even the snarkier replies ;)). I won’t eat them, it’s just not in me to do that (not saying I have anything against it, and I like chicken, I just couldn’t butcher my own chickens). Worst case scenario, I’ll just let them loose to fend for themselves (at least then they have a chance at a life).

They seem to be doing fine this morning, and I’ve been checking on them from time to time. And yes, I know the game fowl gene can be problematic, but since they all grew up together I was holding out hope for them.

Maybe in the future I can divide up their pen (if I still can’t find homes for them - I’ll keep asking and looking around).

Thanks again and happy Thanksgiving!

Some of us roosters are lovers, not fighters. HI I'm BEN "gentile Ben"

So he's NOT Jewish? (Gentile). *grins* I can never miss out on a play on words with a misspelling. Still, it's thanksgiving, so as nice as he is, today he looks tasty!
you caught that spelling, good. I actually did that one on purpose. I can spell gentle, But Ben isn't Jewish so it's gentile.:old:D
