How big is your coop and run? I agree, those cockerels should be removed from the flock. You could leave one. And that silkie mix will need to be segregated till he's healed. Check him for mites/lice.

The coop is about 38 square feet of floor space with a main floor and a loft. I have 3 roosting bars in there with plenty of space between them. The run is 14 feet square. I believe they have plenty of room, as they are bantams and are considerably smaller than most chickens.

How do I check him for mites? If he has them, does everyone else in the flock? Everyone else has a beautiful full coat of feathers.

For now I've put him inside the apple tree fence with my most loving hen (who was seeming a bit overwhelmed with the testosterone surge of the other roosters). They get along well and she seems to be mothering him. I'll put him back in the brooder for a few more nights and see if his feathers begin to fill in. He has never had a "full coat" though, even as a chick he always looked like he was molting, so I'm not sure he has the capability to fill out with healthy feathers. He may just be a genetic mutant.
