Hi just as a quick update; he is still alive, and seems to be getting slowly better. Today he actually managed to drink by himself, and I saw him pecking food off the grass. He's still quite wobbly, but he's walking around, and even running. And I keep having to stop him chasing the girls.
I've been handfeeding him and watering him. I also gave him part of a vitamin tablet each day. I'm so glad he seems to be on the mend. Thanks so much for all your help guys.

Sorry to bother y'all again. But since my last post, he has been absolutely fine for say, five days, a week, and then he goes back to no balance, and then he gets better again, and this just keeps happening. When he was getting better the first time I slowed down with the vitamins, so when he went back downhill I thought I should have kept giving him them. But this time I've given them to him every day even though he seemed much better, and although yesterday he was great, scratching around and everything, today he again has terrible balance. I thought maybe this might help tell what it could be?
Would he be like this for the rest of his life?
I'm willing to look after him of course. He isn't in pain, I'm sure.

When was the last time you dewormed your chickens? A worm infestation can cause quite some problems even with balance.

I would also inspect both his ears as an earinfection might also cause nausea and balance problems.

And maybe you could take a good look around the coop at night for mites that might just be drawing enough blood to weaken and prevent him from fully recovering.

His ears seemed fine, but I'll double check.
I've never wormed my chickens. I did think of worms but it didn't seem to be.
What would the symptoms be if it was worms? The only symptom he seems to have are the loss of balance. He is going to the toilet fine, just as normal. Thanks for the suggestion. I really don't know what it could be.
