Rooster chases hens every morning!

That’s good to know!! My roo is 2yrs old in two weeks. He still does this, every morning. When did it cool down for your roo?
He also foot-attacked me for the FIRST time yesterday! I was shocked. He’ll peck at my shoe or pant leg every now & then, but he’s never done a full attack with his claws & wings before! It’s partly on me… I usually pay more attention to what his mood is like, but I just had other things on my mind. He got me from behind. No blood drawn or anything crazy, just surprised me! Now I’m paying more attention, and learned that when it gets warm again, and the ladies start laying more, he’s on guard more than usual! Makes sense. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Might be your shoes. My wife had some green waterboots and sumatra roosters would attack them occasionally. Regardless though, you shouldn't be attacked over footwear

I was going through the same thing, I think my post was crazy in the morning. Mine was also a easter egger cockerel and we loved him but he decided he did not like 1 pullet because she would not let him mate her, chased her and when he did catch her pecked her head bloody, I put him in freezer camp that afternoon. I do have to say the girls seem much happier since he has been gone. I don't free range so when he would chase her she couldn't hide out of reach. If I could free range I would of most likely kept him.
My roo did a similar thing, with just one hen. She would not relent, and she didn’t until I got rid of the other two roos. I called him her stalker. He never pecked her bloody though. Just chased her a lot. If I was out there I would stop him, but I wasn’t always out there. Was interesting how the dynamics changed when he was the only roo left.

I’ve had these boots (just black Ugg-type boots) the whole time I’ve had him, and they were mostly covered by my pants when he came at me. But it’s funny you say that. It really does make a difference what you’re wearing sometimes. My 16 yr old cat is totally fine with my husband when he’s wearing shorts and flip flops… even loves up on him, but if he wears pants & shoes?! Oh boy! She is not a fan of him anymore! We can't figure out why. Just something she developed after we moved almost 3 yrs ago. He’s been in our lives for over 10 yrs. Strange how animals perceive threats sometimes.

The only thing I can think of that changed after we moved, is that we moved to a place with land (which is why we can have chickens), and a lawn. My husband usually puts pants & shoes on when he mows the lawn. She might be associating his clothing with the loud/scary sound of the lawn mower.

I raised 2 brothers in a flock of 22 hens and neither tried to fight the other until I gave the flock to the one I kept and separated him. Gave the spare to a friend and he's a great rooster since he doesn't have any completion
