I never really realized how many chicken breeds there were until i got them myself lol the first time i saw a silkie (last yr) i was like omg what is that!

Same here! When I found my Sebright perched on a bench on the front porch, I thought he was a garden statue! I had no idea chickens came in so many different colours & sizes.

Oh I know, look at the colors, the tails, the feathers on the feet hsve me hooked. I love fluffy feet on critters.

I'm struggling to know how to use this site .
Just wanted to ask a question.
I think my light Sussex is a rooster but it hasn't crowd yet and it's 7 months old . Is it possible it will be a silent rooster ?

Hmmmm I don't no... I have 9 roosters of different breeds and they've all crowed before 7 months

Well it's definitely a rooster without a voice .
I need to find a home for him. I can't keep him if he does start crowing.

I have a fluffy footed chicken but in this weather she has muddy socks indeed

I have a question.I have 1 rooster and 2 cockerals.Lately have been noticing the rooster trying to challeng the leghorn cockeral.And he looks like he wants too.He shrivles up,then he looks and stands there as if he is gonna flare.

What is the difference between a rooster and a cockerel? I thought it was the same thing
