I have a Chicken that I am wondering about.
It has a partially curved tail,I think that it was trying to crow this morning.
I think it could be a rooster.
    But, [IMG]
    it lays on eggs [IMG]
any one have a guess? [IMG]

How old is the chicken? When did you get it? What kind is it? I don't have any roosters, so I don't know if they will sometimes lay on eggs or not.

My roosters avoid the nest boxes at all costs.
Why not post a pic and end the confusion? [IMG]

we have a New Hampshire roo that will get in the nest and warm it up for his mate hen and she will cluck wildly when she is ready. He will hop down and she will hop in and lay her egg and then hop out and he will hop back in and set on the egg until he gets bored. Actually kind of cute.
