anyone have luck with rooster collars that help minimize the crowing.
I really do hate that roosters get such a bad rap!!!

I love my roosters crowing, but sadly in our new house the neighbors aren't so keen of the idea. Anyways, we tried the rooster collar, and it failed to keep our bantam mille fleur d'uccle from crowing, if anything it was louder. I readjusted it several times, and decided to try to put him in the shed at night/morning, my boyfriend decided to try the collar once more, unfortunately little spitfire was dead the next morning :( I was very Leary to use the collars because I had heard of lots of roosters having complications and dying from them. My boyfriend feels awful and so do I. Maybe you will have different results.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about your bantam mille fleur.
I'm so glad you let me know of this issue, I had no idea there were complications with collar.

My roosters have not started crowing and I've considered moving them into my garage in the morning once they start crowing.

There are so many other things that make so much more noise, it's unfortunate that roosters get such a bad rap :(

Way back in the day when my parents had chickens my mom used to use the black plastic garden pots to cover her roosters
