Ideas? It seems to be getting worse. We've treated it with anti-pick lotion, anti-fungals, and antibiotic ointment. Occasionally it appears to be healing and then the scabs open up and he bleeds all over the place. We never catch the hens actively pecking him but not sure what else it could be?

*ETA: If you check out our profile picture you can see what his comb looked like when he first started maturing. It was shortly afterwards that he injured it somehow and it's never been the same since (9 months later).

Do you remember which med it was that appeared to help the comb to heal? If so, continue to treat it with that particular med until completely healed. Hens will continue to peck at it too. It might be best to seperate them.

No, the healing seemed to be completely random, or at best related to the weather. We're not consistent enough with the meds though so we'll just keep at it.

Ok. I recommend that you purchase Nu-Stock and smear it on the affected area. Continue to apply it on a daily basis and hopefully it'll clear up...give it time to clear up.
