Rooster comb turning black -- not frost bite

Worms cause a pale comb, not a cyanotic/blue comb. The Emycin would be to treat strep or enterococci. that might cause cardiac problems. Maybe just try worming first, then see how he is doing in a few days.

I got the fenbendazole and gave it to him in scrambled eggs. Added some areumycin crumbles to his food along with probiotics. I sure hope this helps him. I would like to put in some warm water to get all the poop off but I'm afraid it will die. He seems to get distressed, more cyanotic when stressed like trying to give him oral medicine the other day.

Restrain yourself from bathing him if he is turning cyanotic. It is too cold, and you can clean him without a bath. keep him warm and dry. Don't stress him.
