I have a less than 1-year-old rooster who has black spots all over his comb and the back of his head has been pecked at by one of our other roosters. His comb was sort of purple only at the tip about a week ago and we weren't sure what was wrong, recently it turned black and is more widespread. His tail fathers have been turning white and falling out. He was eating and drinking up until yesterday, but today he won't go anywhere near the other chickens. We let them free range if that makes a difference. It also appears that our other roster's comb has started turning black. Avian pox has been going around in our area but his face doesn't have lesions like the pictres ive seen. Does anyone know what might be wrong with him?

The first picture shows injuries from fighting. The other two show fighting injuries, but there also could be some frostbite on the tips of the comb. Has it been frigid cold in recent weeks?
