Rooster companion

Hi all,
I am new to raising chickens and starting out slowly. I have an Old English Bantam Rooster about 3 months old. I just lost his sister to a predator. I live in Northwestern New Jersey. Does anyone know where I can buy any hens locally? WOuld he be receptive to chicks? Any advice?

I would get started pullets locally of a bantam variety.

As a young rooster I would get him a hen (bantam if possible but a young full size will work as well. Being older she will help him learn manners. He would probably pick on young chicks.
